{UAH} Museveni in-law Odrek Rwabwogo finally handed juicy job

Sorry it is Confuciusism not Confusionism

Even China's Confusionism has resulted into hardnosed but tamed capitalism - one can say, it is the nature of man (fortune hunters).

Dr. Kayondo

I am quite skeptical about the group. Issues of the economy can't be separated from political idea -logic and state building.

Think tanks are made up of people with vast experiences in specific areas of specilisation and public service.

More so, issues concerning nation building as per now, where institutions are rotten in Uganda require that people from different ideological convections participate! And this could be a monthly Television debate if Uganda was a civilised country!

Politics is ideological, and without ideology, it becomes baseless hence reproducing; popularism, extremism and/or purely ideological obfuscation.

From the world known to us, since Socrates and Plato nothing much has changed. Even China's Confusionism has resulted into hardnosed but tamed capitalism - one can say, it is the nature of man (fortune hunters).

The versions all that have resulted from those two branches (socrates and platonic idealism), are basically western type of democracy (capitalism, welfare state Thatcher, Reaganomics) and Marxian variants (Communism, Leninism, Maoism etc)

The raise of the industrial structures/societies made the above ideologies converge – and as I write now the specter of industrial decline has meant that majority jobless and landless industrial workers are ideology-less thus the raise of Christian extremism (popularism, extremism) that has, as its primary desire, to exterminate humanity!

In Uganda, for now more than fifty years, the Baganda have refused to accept any other variant of political governance other than their (monarch) Kingdom which is far different from what is taught as feudalism (Makerere Political sciences).

In fact Buganda monarchism is far ahead of its own timeline!

I do believe NRM is actually burying all opportunities to save Uganda from future chaos by using its long range politics.  One, humanity has similar desires, live a good life and , secondary the biological necessity to existence . That is why the church as of now, is struggling with its inherent sins (sexualism, ---> biological necessity)

Less of that, everything is immaterial.

I have suggested that NRM has to do only four things; provide (1). Housing to the largest majority, (2). Public Transport (3). Medicare  (4).  Education (cheap) in whatever form. That can cushion the state from totally falling apart. The above will only meaninglfully come about if we fully urbanise.

For, there are two scenarios:

a.       That Uganda given its deep ethnic division NRM has tamed through corruption will erupt into another civil war if traditional parties particularly (UPC, DP) have no free room to  practice what they believe in.

b.      Traditional kingdoms should be given more room to run their own business (socio-political and economic) otherwise without better economic prospects they will erupt.

Now the above aside, the latent Bakiga nationalism which has made them feel endangered has now been elevated to a national struggle for political space! It is fought on two fronts economic and political.

On top of that, West Nile , Acholi and Lango and now Issues between the Japdhola and  Itesot are such issues that require galvanising national political ideology  which currently is absent.

So what is that group bringing to the floor - I can't see any way forward! I am sorry.
