{UAH} FDC IS ANTI BUGANDA

BUGANDA HAS NO FUTURE IN FDC
I HAVE JUST READ IN A SECTION OF Luganda print media showing four
leading presidential aspirants to succeed President Yoweri Museveni in
2021 if he does not seek another term and 2026 if he does so.
It has come at a time when FDC Party Presidential Candidates are
traversing the country soliciting for support.
There are two leading candidates' Maj.Gen.Mugisha Mntu the incumbent
Party President and former Army Commander, and former Kumi MP Amuriat.
As usual, Maj.Gen.Mugisha Muntu hails from South West Uganda, the home
region of FDC although it has no home base there, compared to NRM in
Southern Uganda, DP in Buganda and UPC in Lango.
The first Reform Agenda Chairperson was Dr. Kizza Besigye, and the
first FDC Chairperson was Salaamu Proscovia Musumba.
Withdraw Dr.Sulaiman Kiggundu, Prince Vincent Kimera and Sam Kalega
Njuba, one would have expected the likes of Beti Kamya to take over.
But that one was kicked out by a combination of Besigye and Muntu.
They will prefer a semi literate Joyce Nabbosa Ssebuggwawo and an
ageing Waswa Biriggwa to firebrands like Beti Kamya or John Kikonyogo.
That is your FDC.
For such a party which claims to be national and it lacks a leading
future and presidential aspirant in a strategic central region, shows
how its future is limbed.
FDC is a home of disgruntled NRM Historicals hailing from Kigezi sub
region in particular, and South West Uganda in general who are
plotting for nothing but to get one of their own succeed President
Yoweri Museveni.
They plotted this way back in the bush and Museveni survived their
ambushes from there, they tried immediately after capturing state
power in 1986, and he survived, then since 2000, they have been
plotting and plotting starting with Kizza Besigye and Winnie Byanyima,
and recently Amama Mbabazi and wife.
So when l saw Kamunye Luganda Daily today with a story fronting
Gen.Edward Katumba Wamala, LORD Mayor Erias Lukwago, Katikkiro Charles
peter Mayiga and singer Bobi Wine as four leading Buganda presidential
aspirants, l understood that it was a reaction to what is going on in
FDC where there is no credible Muganda in its leadership. DP went to
the dogs, and with the restoration of traditional institutions and
possible federalism , CP existence is not justifiable. It is moreover
a one man's show and his daughter.
