MEET OUR CANDIDATES FOR 7TH WARD CITY COUNCIL: Timothy Gaburungyi & Richard Molinaro

Rich Molinaro has been a staple in our community for many years. He was born and raised in Danbury and graduated from Danbury High School.  Rich was a teacher for many years and is a former member of the City Council.  He is a proud Veteran of the United States Army Reserves and he's an avid photographer. Rich is excited about the prospect of being elected once again onto the City Council where he hopes to continue championing the rights of all Danburians.  He currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc.

Tim Gaburungyi has called Danbury home for more than a decade, where he settled with his family after an international career in the hospitality industry that took him throughout Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Today, Tim is a technology professional and leader with New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center where he is in charge of supporting business objectives with real-world economic impact. In his role, Tim also serves as a mentor and trainer to young Americans aspiring to a career in Technology. He has devoted significant energy and attention to the not-for-profit Ugandan North American Association (UNAA) and he has volunteered as a Soccer Coach with the Danbury Youth Soccer Club. Like his running mate, Tim is also an avid photographer. A first generation American born in Uganda, Tim has lived through experiences that ensure a true appreciation for political freedoms, personal liberty and human rights. Thus, he has kept abreast of current affairs and issues at local, nation and international levels. Tim is very excited about the opportunity to serve in elective office on the City Council.

Rich and Tim intend on working hard to attain your votes and want to provide responsible and responsive government for residents of the 7th Ward and all of Danbury!
