Ugandans in the diaspora need to give support. Abbey Semuwemba you need to organise UAH members to throw support in solidarity.

Charity calls for end to Ugandan gang deaths

A CHARITY is running a campaign to raise awareness of violent crime affecting London's Ugandan community following a series of murders of young men.
The initiative was launched after a rise in the number of young people of Ugandan heritage killed in the capital this year so far. Four men have been killed in 2017, compared with two last year.
Bosco Nyombi, of the Buganda Heritage Association, said gang violence was an issue within some parts of the community and that "parents and young people should [come] forward" to discuss it.
The charity has been liaising with Scotland Yard's Trident gangs team to help reduce the levels of violence. It is also hosting meetings with community leaders, young people, parents and police.
Sophie Kafeero, 69, whose son Derick Mulondo, 38, was killed in June, said: "I think we as a community have a responsibility for raising this issue." The three other young men who have died this year are Quamari SerunkumaBarnes, 15, Abdul Mayanja, 19, and Patrick Oyeri, 29.
