Suspicion high as four found dead in Riverside, Ruaraka

Four people were reportedly found dead with gunshot wounds in Riverside area, Ruaraka on Sunday.

Residents said three were shot in the head, while another was shot in the chest.

Area police said they do not know the exact number of people killed but one body was taken to Kenyatta University mortuary.

Angry youths have blocked police from accessing the area and an officer was seriously injured in confrontations.

Nairobi police boss Japhet Koome blamed the incident on unknown assailants but said they are investigating.

Dan Owino, a resident, claimed six people were killed on Saturday evening.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that four PSV vehicles have been torched along Outering road in retaliatory attacks. The road was impassable early in the morning.

Youths are also reportedly breaking into shops in Riverside area.
