{UAH} Museveni Orders Kayihura on Kitata as Postmortem Report of Case Clinic Employee Go Missing
President Museveni the commander In Chief and the appointing Authority has directed police chief Gen Edward Kale Kayihura to ensure that police investigates all case files against the jailed patron of Boda Boda 2010 Abdalla Kitata to their logical conclusion.
The president's directives followed after Gen Kayihura last weeks met all Kampala Metropolitan police CID Commanders and warned them not to handle any case file against Kitata and his members of the 2010 association in the murder of former Case Clinic Chief Accountant Francis Ekalungar who was killed and burnt beyond recognition.
Operatives from the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) later went about five police stations in a bid to have their statements and those of accused persons recorded but they failed.
The stations that turned down CMI officers include Nateete, Katwe, Jinja Road, Kiira Road, Central Police Station (CPS) Kampala and Kajjansi.
A senior police detective narrated that "We have strict directives not to open any file and or record any statements of cases from CMI,"
Another police officer told this website that Gen Kayihura further met with all the CID commanders on Saturday and reaffirmed his earlier directives not to handle the Case Clinic murder file.
It is reported that the CMI operatives after hitting the dead end and on advice from the Director of Public Prosecution that Kitata and his group can't be tried without a police file, the briefed the president on how police is frustrating justice for Ekalungar.
Another source told this website that Museveni who is obsessed with police criminal infiltration ordered Kayihura to make sure that all over 400 cases opened against Kitata are investigated to the logical end and 2000 complainants record their statements with police.
Museveni also wants Kayihura to ensure all files upon finished investigations are handed over to Chieftaincy of military intelligence for his prosecution.
He also ordered that Kitata remains in the hands of CMI not police as investigations go on.
Abdalla Kitata was this week paraded before military disciplinary court where he was charged with several counts including possession of military stores among others.
Ekalungar Postmortem report goes missing
Meanwhile a postmortem report carried out on the remains of Ekalungar has gone missing, a police detective told this website.
Sources from Kampala Metropolitan Regional CID commander's office narrated that Officer in Charge of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Kajjansi police station was summoned at Regional office to explain why and where the postmortem report had gone but failed to explain its whereabouts.
It is indicated that police is planning to back date all the documents in order to ensure that Kitata can be added on Ekalungar murder and file sanctioned on orders of the president.
"The army didn't do more technical work which would bring Kitata to book".
It has also been established that Kitata was found in possession of over 300 motorcycles all in his names and over 500 motorcycle cards in his office which security wants him to make their accountability.
