{UAH} UK HIGH COMMISSIONER JULIUS PETER MOTO UNDER FIRE FROM WORLDWIDE LANGO COMMUNITY
Frank Mujabi/ Reggae Laduma/ Ocaya Mike P'Ocure
Remember we had a brief debate about the new Ugandan ambassador to the UK and the habit he brought with him from South Africa of writing a regular column on social media? At the time, Mujabi suggested he would soon give it up. Mujabi was probably right as Mr Moto has put a bomb under his own bum and has been under sustained fire from the Lango community for the past 48 hours. The brutality of the attack on Mr Moto is truly shocking. No Ugandan ambassador has been so seriously attacked and vilified by his own tribesmates as Mr Moto has been. It now seems Kayibanda Museveni made a monumental error if he thought appointing all his ambassadors from Lango would win him the support of the Lango people.
The brutal and sustained attacks on Mr Moto just goes to show one thing- that the Lango people can be very loyal, but will also be ruthless and totally unforgiving once they disown a person. How long Moto will continue to write on social media is anyone's guess, but if I were him, I would just forget completely about the Lango people and abandon any thoughts misguided thoughts of winning them over to the side of Rwandan regime of occupation. Let him go back to drinking whisky and attending parties at foreign embassies like all his predecessors did. It will save him a lot of angst and abuse.
Here is an edited sample:
But get a sample here just to show the level of anger and bitterness among the Langi against those people who serve in the kayibanda Museveni government, whom they see as traitors.

I just returned from Uganda and to be specific Lango sub-region. What I saw there I will not tell you all...you need to travel to Lango and witness it first hand...but there is a new wind of positive transformation blowing in Lango and, if I am not mistaken, the whole of Uganda. Kudos to NRM led Government. Hate him or love him, President Museveni is THE MAN in charge of national progress.
In Obote Avenue, the main street in Lira, a new bank just opened! up shop! There are over 15 commercial banks in Lira. Banks do not open where there is no money!...or where people are poor. Lots of new businesses have sprung up over the last 4 years.
Did I learn that economic growth takes 30 -40 years to measure well, while tracking the real dollar value of inputs in relation to outputs?
If you are not a part of the transformation, think twice...lest you may be left behind completely.
Andrew Arim The proverb goes "Even the best dancer leaves the stage" ... To allow fresh minds and thinking. I was watching French President Emmanuel Macron being interviewed on BBC The Hard Talk yesterday, but boy... Young blood is good. And periodic change of leadership is development. HATE IT OR LOVE IT.
Julius Peter Moto I agree with you. But for now, dude was voted in power...and he is in charge.
