{UAH} MPS FALL INTO THINGS
ON RADIO BILAL TONIGHT
Fellow countrymen and countrywomen, parliament, this week, has been
debating a budget framework paper for 2018/2019 financial year.
Many issues have featured even closing private unregistered schools.
Over the weekend, parents storm the home of state minister for primary
education, Rosemary Nansubuga Ssenninde over the matter. One wonders
why Ssenninde? Probably because there are a few UPE and USE schools in
Wakiso District, which she represents in parliament. Ever since the
programs started, no new school had ever been built in Makindye
Ssaabagabo Municipality and in Kasangati Town Council or Nangabo Sub
County, to mention but a few.
That is why we are crying for Kasangati, Wakiso, Kyengera and Katabi
to be fully fledged municipalities, just like Kira, Nansana and
Makindye Ssaabagabo.
With that status, each is entitled to a health center 4, an USE
school, and with new municipal divisions, each is entitled to a health
center 3 and in every ward, with new wards, each is entitled to at
least, one UPE school.
For the last 20 or more so years, no government technical college or
vocational institute has been built in Wakiso, yet we have graduated
from agriculture and we have gone commercial and industrial yet our
youths are not skilled.
That is why while we were cerebrating liberation 18 at Busaabala
landing site last Sunday, l asked for, at least, two more
constituencies in Makindye Ssaabagabo which is 300,000, and where on
average , a basic constituency is with 100,000, and at leasr, three
more municipal divisions and l gave Masajja-Busaabala Division where
Masajja and Namasuba wards alone are almost 100,000 and hence
Busaabala should be a division of its own so is Namasuba.
With the will of God, tonight from 10.00 pm to 12.00 midnight, l shall
be on Radio Bilal with Ambassador Kintu Nyago, and journalists Siraje
Lubwama and Moses Mugalula, moderated by Isma Kalumba Butannaziba.
Stay tuned please. Good night.
