{UAH} R.I.P Mr.Ssekibogo
The shock and grief are everywhere in Uganda right now over the death of Mr.Moses Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio. The regrets that Mr.Ssekibogo might still be alive had Case Clinic doctors done something differently will continue, but, personally, I think it was his day to go back to the creator. A brain clot in a third world country, third world hospital, most probably means death. Obviously, the emptiness remains in his family and friends, and I send my condolenses.
Mr. Ssekibogo was by all accounts a gracious, soft-spoken and self-effacing gentleman, much beloved by the musicians with whom he worked with.
Never got to like his music so much, but his 'Bread and butter' is fresh and outstanding. My eldest daughter loves it. I also liked watching and feeling 'HELENA' after a long day. He's one of the great introverts, like Bebe Cool, who just sing and you just dance. You have to join in and let the music take over.
My request to our African artists is to be proud of using their original African names instead of coming up with funny names as a way of rebranding themselves. Why the hell would anyone want to call themselves: Chameleon, Diamond, Bebe whatever, e.t.c when they have their real names? Asians were colonised, like us, but keep their originality in most of the stuff they do, why not us? They should also avoid unnecessary fights in bars and other places. Its sad to see such a promising young man gone just because he couldnt control his hormones. Very sad!
