{UAH} PARLIAMENT PASSED 1.3 BILLION FOR NODDING DISEASE
PARLIAMENT PASSES 1.3 BILLION FOR NODDING SYNDROME
This afternoon , Parliament has passed 1,334,233 billion shillings to
fight Nodding syndrome in northern Uganda.. It has been chaired by
Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah.
It was tabled by Minister of State for Planning David Bahati assisting
Minister for Health Ruth Aceng, who seemed not well, and defacto
Minister for Health Dr. Chris Baryomunsi.
Kitgum District allocated 267 million, Lira 34 million, Pader 324
million, Amuru 78 million, Oyam 36 million, Lamwo 175 million, Omoro
219 million, Gulu Referal Hospital 68 million.
Special credit goes to the Deputy Speaker himself who has fought tooth
and nail to force the Ministry of Health to admit that we still have
nodding disease, Acholi Parliamentary Group for speaking with one
voice.
Other regions should buy a leaf from Acholi Parliamentary Group and
even from the Deputy Speaker himself who has ably doubled as a
national and regional leader on this cause.
