Mbabazi's Father-In-Law Ruhindi Laid to Rest
Hundreds of mourners on Saturday gathered at St Paul's Nyakisorooza Church of Uganda of North Kigezi diocese in Rukungiri district, for the send–off of the late Venerable Canon Reverend Geresom Ruhindi, who passed away on Thursday night at the age of 102.
Daughter to the deceased, former minister and MP Hope Mwesigye Ruhindi, described her father as a good leader that was never a hypocrite like some leaders of today.
She also described their father as a person who prioritized the education of his daughters at the time when people prioritized the education of boys.
Mwesigye also said that their father demonstrated values of honesty because he was never accused of stealing church funds and was always dependable. She thanked God for protecting their father from sicknesses until he died of old age.

Prime Minister Dr Livingstone Ruhakana Rugunda at the church service hailed the deceased retired clergy for his patriotic leadership that combined spiritual and development aspects in the communities he served.
The Premier also delivered a condolence message and Shs 10million from President Museveni.
John Patrick Amama Mbabazi The former Prime Minister of Uganda an in-law to the deceased praised Ruhindi for welcoming them to his home.
He said the deceased would be remembered for his exemplary deeds especially educating his children.
Church leaders Rt Rev George Katwesigye, the retired bishop of Kigezi, Rtd Bishop of Kinkizi Rev John Ntegyereize and Rtd Bishop of North Kivu Province in DRC, all asked Christians to emulate the good deeds of the deceased.
Ruhindi's body was later laid to rest at his home at Nyarusoroza village in Nyakishenyi Sub County in Rukungiri district.
He is survived by his wife Ms Everina Kyabanza Ruhundi, nine children, 43 grandchildren, 50-grand-grandchildren and two great –great grandchildren.
Jogo Kenneth Biryabarema, the Rubanda district LCV chairman, state minister for housing Dr Chris Baryomunsi, the Kitanga parish priest Fr Gaetano Batanyenda among many other dignitaries attended the service.
