It is too early to know what changes that will happen in this agreement for we have not yet read the final text of the deal as it is still being drafted. But there are very major changes that have happened thanks to the president's pushing. For the first time NAFTA has a sunset clause. It was such a ridiculous arrangement that had no time to be renegotiated. This time around the U.S. managed to keep a version of its sunset clause meaning the agreement will come up for review every six years, that will keep the deal up to date as technology and other trade issues change over the years. The name North American Free Trade Agreement {NAFTA} has been changed to The United States, Mexico, Canada Agreement, or {USMCA}. We have opened up our Diary industry to Americans one hopes the prices will go down. The tariffs of 25% on Steele and 10% on aluminum that The administration threw on Canada and Mexico are remaining. The levels of market access came out better than what the Obama administration negotiated in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
And lastly chapter 19 remained un touched. Chapter 19 gives the United States, Canada and Mexico the right to challenge each other's anti-dumping and countervailing duty decisions before a panel. Lastly as Canada has opened up its pharmaceuticals, it is very possible that medication prices in United States are going to go down, for much of what they use comes from here. The new deal has stronger labor provisions, intellectual property protections, including 10 years of protections on certain pharmaceutical patents, environmental rules and rules of origin for cars than the TPP.
I am very worried if The Democrats will not attack this agreement, for some very unknown reason Democrats are not an organized party that they do not have a targeted fight. I think they are going to abandon the Brett Kavanaugh fight and run at this agreement now that it is achieved by Trump. I think in Congress it has to go through the Ways and Means Committee, and the ranking member if my memory is good is Richard Neal a Democrat out of Massachusetts. One cannot wait to read a statement out of his office probably by ten this morning. Democrats are going to block it when it has a time factor. You see the plan is to ensure that Pena Nieto signs the agreement before he leaves office on December the first. Democrats are going to do everything to stall it. Other words it is a very good day for almost half a billion residents in North America, and a bad day for China that is going to negotiate come November United States China summit.
Democrats have lost the statement "Trump does not make final agreements" for this is the second to the one of South Korea, we are waiting on China come November.

As with any mutually beneficial negotiations, both US and Canada lost ground and made gains in this deal. The stock markets will be happy. Now, only if President Trump could make Mexico pay for that wall!
