 It is good that Bobby has brought this article (sounds very familiar) as on Monday I left in search of the IEBC Internal Audit report (did not access it) from some source but ended up walking into a banter meeting on: "Oligarchs of Yore and Succession Plan of WSR"

From my notes, here we go below:

Come 2022 it will not be any easy for the man from Sugoi to ascend to power as per his shrewd plans go! It will a complete uphill task.

Only the uninformed Kenyan villagers believe that the President is "elected."

Kenyan Presidents are selected through boardroom rituals attended by top ethnic elite; facilitated by Kenya's Oligarchy and then tossed to the average citizen for ratification.

The elite know that the average voter is simply a socially engineered robot riding on emotive programming. An automaton whose software is blind tribal loyalty!

Therefore; Ruto must pray that the majority of the oligarchs of yore are with him. Because if they decide to oppose him even his money and not even his rumoured 1.5b helicopter save him!

The oligarchs own everything including the media. With the rumoured acquisition of the Nation Media Group by high profile politically active individuals; the institutionalisation of the oligarchy media model in Kenya is complete!

Standard Group is in the hands of the Moi family, whereas The Nairobi Star is partly owned by the Kittony's family who happen to be close friends and relatives of the Mois. K24 is currently i the hands of the Kenyattas the media house with the highest viewership and listenership numbers and add the highest rural and vernacular Royal Media controlled and owned by SK Macharia (considered as "free agent") as he supports political sides depending on his commercial interests.

The oligarchs nearly own 2/3rs of companies listed on NSE. The companies approximately do a daily trading  of USD:10m with a total captilisation approx. USD:23m.

These oligarchs are well represnted in the listed companies by way of shareholding. Compare that to Ruto's wealth..........no comparison whatsoever!

The oligarchs have humiliated and deconstructed RAO in more than 2 elections! Now, Raila is in submission mode.

Given Ruto's past, and it will only take 6 months of  negative barrage constantly on headlines in both digital ad print media stemming from allegations of corruption, impropriety in private family life, land issues, post election violence in 2007 during his tenure as a top ODM "Pentagon Member" and infuse this with a website similar to "Who is the real Raila dot com" to help deconstruct and destroy his public persona. For sure there is already some of his detractors already rumoured to be around developing a negative strategy campaign!

The oligarchs do not like strong headed politicians; as they did all the could to prevent RAO from becoming president.

They love flexible and malleable ones like Kibaki and Musalia Mudavadi and they can also be considering Kalonzo. Presidents who will listen to them when they demand payback, big military contracts, procurement, infrastructure projects, favorable business regulations, taxation and legislation issues, et al!

It is rumoured that there was an initial boardroom deal for Mudavadi to succeed Kibaki...! The resolution was later thrashed under the guise that it was made under the influence of "Madimoni."

With RAO firmly working with UK, he could simply forfeit his presidential ambitions and remain elder statesman and king maker in the court of the oligarchs.

It is not far fetched to think that in 2022, the oligarchs could not also comfortably front RAO fro President!

The man as they say from one school of thought is being rehabilitated in order to abandon his confrontational style of politics and such phrases like "land reform" & "historical injustices." RAO will be in his senile years if he becomes president. That allows the oligarchs to operated and control the government like they did under Kibaki by remote control!!

Oligarchs by nature; do not like hardheadedness: no! They hate competition for big businesses... that is their domain! This is where Ruto comes SHORT!

Ruto is too ambitious and ruthless to the core with a mind of his own. He is in competition with the oligarchs cultivating a personal business empire to their chagrin combined with the public perception of "selfishness" and "insatiable greed" that has refused to go away.

Then there is the jealousy among his peers who think that he is rising too fast and on the other hand the oligarchs equally fear that should he rise to become president, he shall turn against them just like Putin did in Russia (Jail them and others in exile)!

The oligarchs whom JP government snatched the KES:300b SGR are also waiting for their day of revenge!

To the circle of the "old oligarchs of yore" Ruto is a complete "outsider" and a hassler without style and class!

Kenyan politcs at the highest levels is based on some sort of informal "insider-ism". If Ruto attempts to us the "son of a peasant" pitch/angle as his main campaign theme he will flop miserably. The oligarchs will frame WSR as a man of questionable character and wealth passing as a "peasant".

Just like they did to RAO, they will unleash Cambridge Analytica style of scotched earth propaganda warfare as WSR's politics since 2012 has been based on anti-Odinga-ism rebellious rhetoric. Now that RAO "appears" to have joined with his fellow oligarchs what; will be Ruto's political platform framework?

The oligarchs know the man very well as in 2012 they created him to vanquish RAO and mark you WSR's rise to the DP-ship was a boardroom deal facilitated by them, riding on the prevailing anti-ICC strong emotions then. It is this same oligarchs therefore; that will deconstruct him to oblivion should political expediency demand accordingly!

Gathering largely are the oligarchs without Ruto, and that should worry him and this is why you hear of late the likes of Sonko unhinged talking about night meetings of Central elite against the DP rising to the presidency come 2022.....! There are many "handshakes" happening in broad daylight and at night within the tightly knot circle of Kenya's oligarchs that should worry him. Most of these "handshakes" are done in private and many oligarchs hate publicity for obvious reasons.

The recent public "handshakes" are not by chance and nothing happens in politics by chance or accident such and including WSR watching a "Harambee House" handshake through the window across the road....!

By the time we get to 2022 the political landscape will be so unfamiliar that it won't matter so much as to "who owes who what" as it will be a fierce race for survival of the fittest..... it will not a walk in the park for the man from Sugoi as some folks are suggesting and trying to make us believe.

RAO is more electrifying with near fanatical following around Kenya yet; he never became the president of Kenya! Therefore; to assume that Ruto will become president simply because of his work ethic or personality or some imaginary debt owed to the people of RV by a "block of voters from Central" is pedestrian thinking!

Ruto has announced too early and started open campaigns openly in the guise of development.... yet UK who is in his last term is trying to build a legacy....

This is the season for ruthless alignments and betrayal galore as political alliances however rosy are not by nature to be mistaken to weddings, marriages or love affairs! The dalliance betwixt UhuRuto is soon or later coming to an abrupt rude end as UK read the riot act during his formation of the second term government for his legacy, and since then there has not been room for shared press conferences in white shirts, folded sleeves and red ties are no more! No space for antics and emotional public glittering smiles, nor "my brother, my friend" public relations consume!

Kenya's political "debts" are settled and sealed more often in a well known currency called "BETRAYAL"!

It is TIME for ZERO EMOTIONS, just pursuit for RAW POLITICAL INTERESTS!
