-- Here is the lawyer for the Jihadi bride Shamima Begum advancing a very novel legal arguement.. He says it is the UK government, and particularly Tower Hamlets Council that failed in their duty to protect Shamima from indoctrination and radicalisation by Islam. He might have a point- but what about her father? Whose responsibility is it to look after the pastoral, moral and spiritual needs of children? Is it not the parents.? Shamima's father was known to frequent the mosque of hate preacher Anjem Choudary and he is shown in several pictures attending rallies with the hate preacher. So if a father was a radical muslim, and associated with known terrorists, who is to blame for the radicalisation of his child? The lawyer is advancing the argument that local authority social services in the UK should intervene and remove children from families where they are at risk of being radicalised, but this is not possible unless we the muslim community cooperates. The muslim community often knows about religious grooming and of the children who are on the verge of becoming terrorists, but they dont report them to the authorities.
In my view it is Islam which is to blame for radicalising young children, and secondly the muslim community is to blame for not cooperating with the government. Social Services carries some of the blame, but a minor one. Islam h carries 99% of the responsibility for destroying the lives of young people.
