{UAH} Uganda SGR in limbo as China develops cold feet on project funding - Daily Monitor

SGR will be built at any cost BUT the cost will be lower than what the
Chinese have proposed. The European and Americans are investing
heavily in well planned , studied
and strategic fields in this region.

Oil refinery (USA), Kabaale Airport (UK) and pipeline (France) for
example. That is how Museveni operate learning and reacting on or from
experience. Museveni has done something else this country has to be
grateful - forcing international corporation; Chinese , European and
American corporation into collaborating on the same projects.

Europeans and Americans are funding youth employment (Belgium, USA)
and education (Ireland) which is not a concern for the Chinese.

What will knock the Chinese off the fraudulent business is the new EAC
mineral laws where the states will have shares. If DRC does the same -
that will be it forever.

The EU are funding upgrading of Tororo Gulu line - I hear with an
extension to Nimule.
A massive Transport and Logistic hub funded by EU grants in Gulu will
be up and running this year.

Museveni or a new government will chose either European Companies to
build a modern railways- EAC states are done with Chinese. I guess
vast DRC has strong reasons to support every initiate in Uganda to see
East DRC move faster in development.

On the one hand, the bribery affair in the USA - is a real omen for
Museveni in his ways.

Just watch.

Bwanika.
