11^th Annual Uganda/North America Trade and Investments Forum

at the

31^th Annual UNAA Convention

Chicago, IL

Friday August 30, 2019

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

 

The VENTURE PODIUM is a period of time that has been set aside in the afternoon session of the Trade and Investments Forum where aspiring entrepreneurs in our community will be given an opportunity to stand in front of and pitch their business ideas to the entire gathering.  Presenters may pitch their ideas in search of investors, partners or merely to solicit feedback on a potential project or venture already underway.

The basic structure of each presentation should be as follows.

 

1.     Introduce the project and principals.

2.     Define the project

3.     Define the time frame of the project

4.     Identify exactly what you are looking for (ie. partners, investors, advisors, etc.)
5.     Define the structure of the investment

        -     How much money is sought?

        -     When it is this money sought?

        -     How will this money be used?

        -     How it will the investment be managed?

        -     Who will manage it?

        -     What is the project return on investment and over what period?

6.     Define the project's competitors and competitive advantages.

7.     What guarantees do you offer to investors?

8.     How will investors be able to track your project and their investment?

9.     What are the long-term prospects of this investment.

 

Please note that there will be particular interest in the composition of the management team and their associated experience.

 

Anyone interested in make a presentation in this year's Venture Podium session is asked to submit a request and short summary of their venture to me at the following email address.
