{UAH} Springbok legend Chester Williams dies

Legendary 1995 World Cup-winning Springbok wing Chester Williams passed away on Friday at the age of 49. He emerged as an iconic figure at the historic 1995 World Cup final, where he was viewed as a particularly transformative and instrumental role player in the new South Africa. He was the first black player to represent the Springboks in the new South Africa. Williams played as a winger for the Springboks from 1993 to 2000 and represented the Springboks in 27 games, scoring 14 tries. Everyone remembers Chester Williams lifting the Rugby World and handing it over to Nelson Mandela, in one of the final great symbolic moments of the end of apartheid.
