{UAH} IS MY EX SPOUSE LEGALLY BOUND TO CONTINUE PAYING MY MAINTENANCE WHEN I GET A NEW 'CATCH'?

IS MY EX SPOUSE LEGALLY BOUND TO CONTINUE PAYING MY MAINTENANCE WHEN I GET A NEW 'CATCH'?

IF YOU THOUGHT YOU FINALLY got rid of that 'nagging' partner of yours, THINK AGAIN!!!!! Imagine already hating that guy who used to take upkeep from you everyday, and then you managed to escape from him 'by divorce' then you are told that since he was broke and you got him used to good living, then you have to help him keep enjoying 'life'.

So, there is this thing called Alimony. It is when a spouse (husband or wife) gives maintenance to the other after they are separated or divorced.

When you are planning for divorce, you should probably know that court can also order that you or your 'soon to be ex' spouse pay for the maintenance of your yourself and the children.

When a court gives a maintenance order, you just cannot stop until the court tells you otherwise. Before you go off thinking that salary is all yours, you might want to be sure how long the order to maintain former 'love of your life' is. In some cases, of course, it may be for a few years or until your 'ex' is married or if you don't pay attention, you may wind up with an 'indefinite one.
