{UAH} Unicorns are born with both male and female genitalia

Some people think unicorns aren't real but just because unicorns are mythical doesn't mean they haven't had a real impact on history. On today's Nature and Wildlife, we look at some facts about this mysterious and magical animal.

1. A unicorn is a mythical and legendary animal depicted as a beautiful horse with a single horn on its forehead.

2. It is believed that a unicorn has the hind legs of an antelope, the beard of a goat and a tail of a lion.

3. When two unicorn families meet, they express great joy and travel together for weeks before they part and go their separate ways.

4. According to mythology, whoever touches a pure White Unicorn, will find happiness and joy in his entire life.

5. The Unicorn is thought to hold the power to divine truth and will pierce the heart of a liar with its horn.

6. The King James version of the Old Testament contains nine references to unicorns.

7. Julius Caesar said he saw one in a forest in Germany during his conquest of Gaul, and Marco Polo said he saw one too, but that one turned out to be a rhinoceros. Disappointing!

8. Unicorns are born with both male and female genitalia.

9. Till late 18th century, it was a custom in France to carry a cup made from unicorn horn or a horn of unicorn to test whether the food and drinks were poisoned or not.

10. There is also a myth that if the horn of a Unicorn was placed on a wound, it would heal.
