{UAH} Does Guliani have dirt on Trump?

Jon Mixon, Played the game my entire life. It's always been a draw.

Question: Does Giuliani have dirt on Trump?

Of course he does.

A lot of people do.

In fact, if Donald Trump didn't live in a democracy with a strong tradition of rule of law, he would already be in prison.

Let's review:

  1. Rudy Giuliani has been "friends" with the Trump for several decades - In that time, it's a virtual certainty that Donald Trump confided things to Giuliani that would not be covered by attorney-client privilege.
  2. Donald Trump is a remarkably stupid man - As has been seen by both the Comey-Mueller investigation and the current Ukraine debacle, Donald Trump is his own worst enemy. He's foolish, impulsive, shortsighted, and impatient. He's caused the majority of his own problems simply be not bothering to listen to people who are advising him. It's a virtual certainty that Rudy Giuliani has witnessed or participated in encounters where this has led to Trump saying or doing something that is illegal.
  3. Trump almost certainly asked Rudy Giuliani to do illegal things for him - Since his White House counsel wouldn't, and his former "fixer", Michael Cohen, was imprisoned, Trump had to turn to someone and that "someone" was almost certainly Rudy Giuliani. Whether or not Giuliani did them, or declined, but documented the requests remains to be seen.
  4. Certain aspects of the Russia election meddling are only known about by Giuliani outside of those in Trump's orbit - Giuliani almost has knowledge that could have been beneficial to the Mueller probe, but likely used his "attorney-client privilege" to shield them from the probe.
  5. Certain aspects of the burgeoning of the Ukraine debacle seem to have been criminal in nature - What Trump supporters seem to "forget" is that planning to commit a crime or attempting a crime are crimes themselves. While they aren't always prosecuted, they can be and Rudy Giuliani, as a former US Attorney, certainly knows enough about what's prosecutable and what's not to make things very unpleasant for Donald Trump.

The Law 101: Your attorney has enough information to send you to prison. They are protected in societies which respect rule of law by protections that prevent them from being forced to testify against their clients. However, even those laws have limits, and an attorney who has committed crimes and who may be seeking a lighter sentence (or an exoneration) might be inclined to give their client up.
