{UAH} Muntu-Bobi Wine alliance is suspicious

The week ended with a story in a section of the media of the deal to be struck between Mugisha Muntu and Bobi Wine to win the 2021 presidential election.

Muntu's interest in Bobi Wine is amusing. Muntu rallied a group of rebels who left FDC on the complaint that FDC's strategy of defiance is misplaced and ill-conceived. He, with his Alliance for National Transformation (ANT), have opted to pursue a more moderate line as they embark on building their mythical structures.

What is curious is that Muntu and his ANT supporters pretend not to see that Bobi Wine is more aggressively defiant against Museveni's NRM than FDC. The question is: why does Muntu find in Bobi Wine's aggressive defiance a rosy fragrance better than that of FDC?

The obvious answer is that Muntu is an agent provocateur, out to infiltrate People Power and systematically disorganise it like he did with FDC. It is even more curious that the overzealous security has not violently broken up Muntu's 'consultation' meetings or violently arrested him. 

Perhaps even more curious, NRM spin-doctors ascribe an image of a tolerant opposition figure to Muntu. Nevertheless, Muntu's deception and intrigue provide an interesting drama; and any curious person would want to see how People Power warmly embrace him as an epitome of change.
