{UAH} Bobi Wine will only be president when Museveni, Besigye and all other generals are dead.

By Nangayi Guyson

Kampala, Uganda– The current affairs in Uganda has been lately  marred with a talk of this new kid on the block (Bobi wine) who has recently gained popularity from either excitement of winning a parliamentary seat or just because Ugandans are desperately yearning for change.

This talk has caused fear in almost all opposition political parties in the country forcing former leader of FDC and presidential aspirant Dr. Kizza Besiegye to come out to speak about it and warning Bobi wine not to dare think of contesting for elections in 2021.

The love for opposition among Ugandans is real, quinine and is growing every day. Ugandan Citizens are really yearning for the quinine and peaceful transfer  of power which is underway but the person to usher them into this golden opportunity should be an experienced political leader not inexperienced media attention seekers like Bob wine.

I have read and heard on several occasions Bob wine accuse Dr. Kizza Besigye and also attacking President Museveni for the unattended to issues in this country.

However, there is one thing which the likes of Bob Wine don't know about the game of politics in this country. If a person like Bob Wine wakes up in the morning and says he is going to contest for presidency and win, I just take it as a joke.

Bob is still a political amateurs in the politics of Uganda. It will take him more than a decade to become a president in this country and that will only be possible If Museveni, Besiegye and other generals are all dead or have intentionally quit politics.

Young politicians who have mushroomed to challenge bush war leaders forget  to know that Africa is not democratic.

I have been following  and analyzing politics in many African countries that have had civil wars leading to the overthrow of previous governments and it's  always very difficult for such leaders to hand over power to a civilian  government.

In many cases such leaders have governed these countries using military rule in disguise of democracy.

Lesson from the just concluded elections in Zimbabwe.

Many of us have been following closely the hotly contested elections in Zimbabwe between Mr. 'crocodile' and the opposition young leader Nelson Chamisa.

Truly, all of us can testify that this young man Nelson Chamisa got stuck in the jaws of Mr. 'crocodile' and swallowing him almost became impossible.

But because we live in a bureaucracy Africa where democracy and elections are a hoax, things were twisted around and eventually Mr Mnangagwa was declared winner by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission.

It's believed that Mr Mnangagwa won by 50.8% of votes, while opposition leader Nelson Chamisa got 44.3%.

Much as all odds were clearly in favor of this young man Nelson Chamisa, this, in critical thinking was totally impossible for Mr. 'crocodile' who has just tested the sweetness of the presidential privileges to be replaced by Nelson Chamisa who has almost done nothing in the struggle for Zimbabwe.

In fact, it would be a shame for a man who has done good and bad to be recognized on Zimbabwean political arena to hand over power to a small civilian boy who joined politics yesterday.

Mr Mnangagwa in 1966, joined the struggle for independence from British colonial rule, becoming one of the young combatants who helped direct the war after undergoing training in China and Egypt. He got his "Crocodile" nickname after running ferocious "Crocodile Gang" guerrilla unit in the conflict.

His also remembered for blowing up a full a train which earned him a death sentence but later commuted to 10 years in prison because of his youth.

Following independence in 1980, he was accused for carrying out a brutal crackdown on opposition supporters that claimed thousands of lives in the Matabeleland and Midlands provinces.

His also blamed for massacring 20,000 in the Gukurahundi.

During Mugabe's regime, Mr Mnangagwa is remember for being the man who brought worst nightmares to former MDC leader late Morgan Tsvangirai.

For all what he has done, it would be impossible for him to hand over power to Nelson Chamisa.

This should be a lesson to young politicians like Bibi wine.

Men like Mr Mnangagwa, Museveni, Mugabe, and others who have ever been in bush wars don't understand what democracy mean. They will do anything in their power to remain in office.

Zimbabwe's 'crocodile' win, should be lesson to Bobi wine's planned contest with Uganda's leopard president Museveni who has sacrificed everything to cling onto power.

Elections can't change regimes in Africa

Many young politicans tend to forget and think that elections can bring about regime change in Africa. They are wrong on this. There is only one clause or Article in the constitutions of African countries that can bring about peaceful regime change in Africa if maintained and that's term limits.

Parliaments in Africa especially in Uganda, should treat terms limits as the only way of protecting Citizens from Presidents who want to cling on power.

The political wave that's blowing in favor of Bobi Wine is not new, we have ever had such excitements before from the likes of Nasser Ntege Sebaggala, Ssebaana kizito, Erias Lukwago, Muhammad Nsereko and many others. I remember Erias Lukwago's first Victory speech for mayoral seat where he said " I have beat presidents Museveni in this elections but my opponents"

Erias Lukwago also had ego like what Bobi Wine is having , thinking that he (Lukwago) will soon after contest for presidency after overwhelming wining mayor seat but he learnt and he is now playing mature politics.

These political waves  in favor of Bobi Wine will eventually stop and we will go back to normal as usual.

Who knew John Patrick Amama Mbabazi would score only 3% in 2016 presidential elections with all the money he splashed and the hoax popularity he had.

Let Bobi wine not be laid by a few a few Urban Ugandans who think he can become the president of this country.

I have listened to Bobi Wine on several occasions but I have never heard him talk about how he plans to rule Uganda or which strategies he intent to use while holding the office of the president.

I would advise MP Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine, to maintain his parliamentary seat for representing Kyaddondo East constituency but not eye for the highest seat of the presidency at this time. If he does, he will lose even the parliamentary seat and become a political failure remaining with only his self-proclaimed title of "The Ghetto President".
