{UAH} Makerere to introduce Boda Boda course during next intake

The wonders at the Ivory Tower never stop to amaze Ugandans, after inviting applications for a Bachelor of Laws degree at that will cost Shs. 5 million a year, the university is now planning to kick start a boda boda course.

As part of the contribution to the national road safety campaign, Makerere University's College of Education and External Studies has today unveiled its plan of establishing an online study course for all boda boda riders which will commence in June.

The boda boda riders are notably the most significant causes of road accidents due to their somewhat unruly riding and failure to obey regulations such as use of helmets and following traffic light warnings.

The college will partner with the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) which will also borrow ideas from Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and the Ministry of Gender.

The course will involve mobile learning and the use of applications to manage road safety and accidents. The riders will also be able to acquire safety tips on entrepreneurship of their business together with how to improve their transportation skills.
