{UAH} Makerere to start Bachelor of Laws Executive programme, tuition set at Shs. 5M per semester
The academic registrar at Makerere University has announced that the institution will launch a Bachelor of Laws Executive (weekend) degree programme starting February 2020.
This comes after the university administration dropped the Bachelor of Laws evening programme this academic year due to financial constraints. This new programme will target mainly working-class students.
However, this programme will not come cheap, with tuition fees set at Shs. 5 million per semester. In addition, students will be required to pay functional fees just like all others at Makerere.
Entry requirements include at least two principal passes at UACE obtained at the same sitting or a second class diploma from a recognized university.
Furthermore, applicants for this program must have sat and passed the pre-entry examinations for Bachelor of Laws set by Makerere University with at least 50% for 2018 and 2019. The closing date for submitting applications is January 31st, 2020.
