President Uhuru Kenyatta is making his fellow Eastern African Presidents look like clowns In fight against Coronavirus Pandemic.
1. John Pombe is reckless, He has refused to lockdown Dar-es-Salaam arguing that Tanzanian economy will collapse, people are still going to the church, His government is lacking transparency.
2. Somalia President, Mohamed Farmajo is deep in slumber, Somalia has over 600 cases, the entire country has 7 ventilators only. In his own wisdom, he saw it prudent to send the only qualified doctors in Somalia to Italy, now they have refused to go back home because They are being paid a lot of money which Somalia cannot afford.
3. Kagame is Jailing Rwandan Journalists who publish or Broadcast information that will paint the government in bad light.
4. Burundi President Pierre Nkurunziza is a total joker, The country didn't have Coronavirus cases untill last week because the country didn't have the tests kits, in one week after receiving donation from well wishers like Jack Ma, The the number has started to spike up.
5. Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed has been busy writing love letters to Donald Trump congratulating him for his handling of Coronavirus, America is the most hit country accounting to nearly a 3rd of all deaths and positive Cases in the world.
6. Yoweri Museveni has been the best but still, He has turned out to be a comedian especially on twitter. Doing a simple assessment, his government is lying, How do you explain that he has conducted 36, 000 tests? The most advanced States in Africa are yet to conduct such tests, Nigeria, the richest Country in Africa has conducted 16,000 tests only, Tunisia 24, 000, Ethiopia 20, 000 & Algeria 6500. Does Uganda have more capacity than these countries?
7. Then comes our heavenly sent His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, He appointed Mutahi Kagwe two weeks before we registered the first case, He instructed the ministry of health to conduct daily briefings for transparency, He allows criticism, it is only in Kenya where you can abuse the president and go Scot free, He has locked down hotspots counties like Mombasa and Nairobi to protect the rest of unaffected parts of the country. He allows total scrutiny of the government including MoH answering hard questions from the media on daily briefings, This is unheard phenomenal at our neighbours. The government is offering free mass testing, He enforced night curfew and banned social gatherings after 1 week, He is supporting poor families and Vulnerable in the society through cash transfer.
This is how the numbers of infections and deaths has remained very low in the country.
