UGANDAN KIDNAPPED AT KATUNA.
Residents of Katuna and surrounding areas are in shock following a broad day kidnap of one of their own Obed Nicholas Tugumisirize from Ugandan territory.
Mr Tugumisirize was on his way from his garden and was carrying a hoe and other items. A number of women on the Rwandan side engaged him in some kind of chat and suddenly soldiers came from every angle and carried him away.
One senior resident who spoke on conditions of anonymity reacted scornfully at the act by the Rwandan army. "They are acting and behaving like thugs, it's as if they are not a national army. How does a national army kidnap a young man coming from his garden? What use can he possibly be to them?" He wondered.
Mr Tugumisirize was kidnapped from Kitojo village, Kacerere Ward, Katuna Town Council.
According to information from Katuna Ugandan authorities have already been informed.
