{UAH} Top Kampala Rich Criminal Gang Busted

Security in Kampala is holding a group of over five people who have been behind all Kampala city murders and robbery for close to seven years, Spyreports can exclusively reveal.

The group, which has been operating in different parts of Kampala, was rounded off over the weekend in a joint tensive security operation that includes Police, Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) and Internal Security Organization (ISO).

According to security, some of the ring leaders who are now in hands of security included Kintu Moses 52 years a resident of Lukuri Zone in Makindye Division, Senoga Peter and Bukenya Robert aka Kavi.

Security sources who conducted the operation say the hunt for the city killers started on 02 May when they raided the offices of Progressive Workers World Wide a security labor exporting Company based in Kisubi, cut two workers Kibazanga Hillary and Mugabi Aggrey near to death and later robbed shs 20.5M and other sensitive documents.

One of the people attacked by the criminal gang in hospital receiving treatment.

"When this incident occurred, we started hunting for this criminal gang such that they can face the law," says a police officer adding that they involved in CMI and ISO to help in phone tracking. He further says it was not easy to have the criminals arrested because they kept changing places of residence and phones.

Another operative from CMI who was also part of the operation says they first arrested Bukenya Robert after arresting his allies in Nansana.

"When we tracked Bukenya's number, found numbers that were calling him regularly and when we picked them, they led us to him," says CMI operative. He added that upon interrogations, Bukenya revealed the where about of Senoga Peter and Kintu Moses.

The Operative added that the trio was subjected to serious interrogations and revealed how they have been terrorizing different parts of Kampala and also confessed how they were part of the group that killed Entebbe women three years ago.

"These people have got several murder and aggravated robbery cases at Old Kampala Police Station, Jinja Road, Katwe police and Kira Division but have been using different names to avoid arrest," says another officer attached to ISO.

He says, they have ever appeared before general Court Martial in Makindye on aggravated robbery.  He added they operate in areas of Bulenga, Konge, Rukuli, Salaam Road, Seguku Mbalwa, Kasangati, Nansana and Wandegeya. He added that after investigations, they would appear before court on charges of murder, aggravated Robbery and attempted murder under file number CRB 220/2020.
