Open churches, mosques

Uganda is not safe if many businesses are unlocked and yet churches and mosques remain locked down. From March 2020, Uganda went into a lockdown due to a threat of Covid-19, and the religious leaders agreed with government to close the churches and mosques for safety reasons.

At the start it was sensible and understandable. However, it is unfortunate and a shame for a country like Uganda that has a motto that priorities God to open up businesses like arcades and boda bodas under the pretence that they are essential services.

This has left many believers wondering whether the government considers God's issues as non-essential or there is a hidden agenda of weakening and suffocating religious organizations.

All Ugandans ought to agree that President Museveni and the ministry of Health have done a commendable job in fighting and preventing the spread of Covid-19. The problem came with the government over-trusting and depending so much on "scientists" in lessening the lockdown while neglecting God's intervention in this undertaking!
