Several wounded in Mayfair Mall shooting in Wisconsin

Several people were shot inside of a shopping mall in Wauwatosa, Wis., on Friday afternoon, according to a local report.

The gunman opened fire at the Mayfair Mall in the city about 10 miles west of Milwaukee, the Journal Sentinel reported.

The number of people shot had not been confirmed, but the newspaper reported, citing emergency radio transmissions, that “multiple people” were wounded in the shooting.

Law enforcement at the scene asked the mall’s management to make an announcement urging people in the building to shelter in place as they responded to the scene, the newspaper reported.

Officials from the FBI, as well as local law enforcement, responded to the shooting, according to a local NBC affiliate.
