{UAH} If Trump decides to go full dictator and subvert the electoral vote, will all 70 million that voted for him support him?

Trump can say anything he wants. He can declare himself the sole authority of the US political and military systems.

He can say what he will, maneuver to his liking and pound the podium as long and hard as he's able.

Let him.

Why am I appearing cavalier about Trump?

Because he will have to face the facts of the US Constitution, 200+ years of case law, the Supreme Court and Congress. Formidable checks and balances to contain him. Let that settle in.

The enormity is lost on Trump.

Trump could have a nutty and order Armageddon with a side of mayhem.

Professional soldiers, officers, the Secretary of the Army and the Secretary of Defense don't follow illegal orders, much less issue them.

Trump doesn't have a cadre of kommisars like Stalin. He doesn't have effective brown shirts like Hitler. There aren't massive legions of jack booted thugs. Keyboard thugs wearing Uggs, that's about it.

The memorials in DC are massive, beautiful works of art, for good reason: the US is far, far more dignified and resilient than one man, even one President, could ever be.

Mark it.

A minority of people who voted for Trump would support him "go[ing] full dictator and subverting the electoral vote."

Let Trump pound sand his remaining days in office.

325 million Americans will stand by and watch the slow motion train wreck.

The rest of the world will shake their heads and ask us to carry on with dignity.

We will.
