To understand the mindset and work method of MEC (Museveni Electoral Commission) Chairperson Simon Byabakama, you go back to the dark and painful events of 15yrs ago.
On 29th Nov 2007, Joseph Musasizi Kifefe Saasi, brother to Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye, died from multiple organ failure due to severe and extremely brutal methods of torture against him by the Museveni Junta.
That same Simon Byabakama, in the state the late Musasizi Kifefe Saasi was in, was prosecuting him for murder of a man that had never been born.
Kifefe Saasi was arrested, prosecuted by Simon Byabakama, brutally tortured and killed on allegations of killing a man that had never been born, never lived and never existed. Can you imagine?
Byabakama shamelessly stood in court and prosecuted a frivolous case against Musasizi Kifefe Saasi. That is Simon Byabakama for you.
Musasizi Saasi Kifefe is in the grave, Simon Byabakama is now heading the MEC and getting paid by the tax payer.
What other price can a man pay other than dying for freedom and the truth?
Musasizi Kifefe Saasi paid the ultimate price for freedom. His brother fights on.
Byabakama has been relentlessly executing Museveni's orders, including persecution and prosecution. He will not cease doing so.
