SECRETARY HEALTH – PADER, FAILS TO ACCOUNT FOR COVID-19 FUND
Pader district councilors were provoked after seeking for the accountability of Covid-19 funds which failed to co-ordinate the activities required in the district.
In a meeting held last week, several councilors demanded that the accountability of the fund meant for Covid-19 should be brought to light.
Atanga Sub County councilor V, Felix Lawoko asked the secretary health who doubles as the chairperson of the district, Oringa Largo to account for the fund, but failed.
However, the secretary health says that, the time frame given for the accountability to be passed was not enough hence declining the question. He further added that, the funds amounting to over 60 million shilling which were refunded to the central government by the MPs were not returned to the district as said earlier on.
Largo promised to bring the accountability in the consequent council meeting which will be held in less than a week from now.
