{UAH} WE NEVER FORGET

By Ronald Muhinda

WE NEVER FORGET:On this day 10yrs ago, I witnessed one of the worst assaults against President Kizza Besigye at Mulago Round about.

I had walked from Kasangati on that Thurs morning of 28th April 2011 until we landed in a military style operation at Mulago Round about commanded by Grace Turyagumanawe and CMI.

I saw Walusimbi (with hammer) hit Besigye's window and I still see him today. I saw Muhumuza Albert wearing a blue Chelsea t-shirt fighting with Journalists especially Timothy Sibasi of WBS (he has since been following KB on a Motorcycle) and I saw Gilbert Bwana Arinaitwe destroy the window with his pistol.

Then I saw another Police goon Munabi Robert (I learnt he was Grace Turyagumanawe's guard) spray toxic substances into the car to force occupants out. I am told he is deployed at Jinja Road Police while their driver then died around 2014.

I was at Kasangati when Besigye, in the worst physical state was brought to Kasangati Magistrate Court. Every body couldn't believe his state as he sat helpless before the Magistrate in pain.

I was there when the following day on 29th, Kampala witnessed violent protests over the brutal arrest of KB.

Today, KB fights on because the struggle is his life. But Museveni is not stronger. His NRMilitary junta has weakened thanks to KBs sacrifice.
