{UAH} Why are Trump voters portrayed as backward idiots by the other side? How can such narrative be credible for half a country?

I believe in at least trying at first to counteract the false, deluded beliefs of the Trump cultists because lies and conspiracy theories should be confronted by truth. But when they respond with more delusions — particularly as moron Don did with "proof" that Trump took HCQ when he was sick with COVID by citing a link from a rag equivalent to the National Enquirer — that's when I know they have gone waaayyy too far over the edge of stupid and irrational. At that point, I simply block them.

I've got a "lady" arguing with me right now. She's called me a fool and more and her stance is 1) Covid is a hoax and 2) Hydroxychloroquin cures Covid. … I ignored the names and answered "How can hydroxychloroquin cure a hoax? Haven't looked for her response yet but I'm sure the logic fail.

UPDATE: She erased her Covid hoax claim, now admits it is real and claims I'm a moron and trump hater for not educating myself on how hydroxychloroquin DOES cure Covid. My response…? "lol… wow.

If HCQ is so great, then why didn't Trump himself insist on getting it when he had the disease? He's all for promoting quackery and conspiracy theories until it comes to himself. When he got the disease he got real medicine for which there is actually some legitimate research that shows it works.

Stop wasting you time. You can't fix stupid. Just like in some cases of a sick person in ill health, it is a lost cause. Nothing can be done. Once you realize she is like that, move on and help someone who has a possibility getting better with a change of mind. This is called Cognitive Triage.
