{UAH} THE TIGER OF LUBAGA NORTH RELEASED FROM MILITARY PRISON
( Picture and info produced by social media platforms and press two days after Mubiru's arrest )
Lubaga North very prominent Councillor and articulate NUP politician has been released from Makindye Military Prison where he has spent almost seven months awaiting trial for illegal possession of military stores. Young James Mubiru, known to some as the Tiger of Lubaga North because of his eloquence in speech and fearless political approach to issues including fighting for people's rights, etc.. is now out of jail following judgement by the Martial Court chairman to grant him a non-cash bail of 10m/= and an obligation to report to the military court twice every week and not to move outside Kampala district for any motive whatsoever. I can sincerely say that Mubiru's release from prison has been welcomed with emotional scenes of joy everywhere within the Ugandan communities, and in Kampala there was plenty of jubilation with people lining along the roads to cheer his motorcade. All this was an interpretation of that joy which now symbolically crowns the very great efforts deployed by many both inside and outside Uganda to see to it that these young politicians so maliciously held in prisons, detention centres, safe houses, police stations, etc.. where they systematically undergo a lot of torture for having committed no crime, get out of this ordeal which has cost many their activity and family life.Mubiru has been suffering for nothing. The accusation levelled against him only concerns wearing a red NUP beret! What's that and is there any sense in that? Right almost immediately after his arrest he started undergoing deep torture and he's reported to have run unconscious, a thing which set panic among his tormenters with one of them telephoning Mubiru's mum to announce his death in custody.Mourners started gathering at his home where they arranged a vigil. And entire Ugandan communities all over the world took to mourning. However this mourning turned to a joyous end when the very great Oweekitiibwa Fred Kajubi Lumbuye in his famous ekiggula luggi ( introductory programme ) announced the great joy to his countless thousands of listeners all over the globe when he strongly affirmed that James Mubiru was still alive but in a miserable condition.Lumbuye's statement drew cheers from almost everywhere! Ugandans, including the press as the picture above shows, had indeed come to the belief of Mubiru's demise. God is great! Mubiru is now happily present among us.
And we all welcome him back from those ill-reputed Nazi torture chambers! And we wish him a nice swearing-in to take his place as Councillor at the City Hall. Go forward Mubiru!
Sincerely speaking, for which reason was Mubiru arrested and forced to undergo all that humiliation? To many of us this was most probably due to a strong statement he made appealing for a massive mobilization to march in the streets to ask for the January 14, 2021 victory by Bobi Wine Ssentamu Kyagulanyi. We all listened to that statement whereby he was determined to gather 5,000 demonstrators from Lubaga North alone.Mubiru's statement created a laugh-out-loud moment when he cautioned everyone in Lubaga North against displaying attitudes of cowardice
and he was able to insist on the possibility of punishing such people, when he strongly affirmed in Luganda that he would also look for those hiding under their beds and cane them.
" N'abo abaneekweka wansi w'ebitanda nayo njakugendayo mbakube emiggo! "
Anyway, we are all happy to see Mubiru back and we pray to God to give us more energy to fight for those other political prisoners still lingering in prison. They will come out because nobody must tolerate this type of suffering maliciously imposed on an innocent population. I do very sincerely thank all those who have fought for Mubiru and for all others who have found their freedom. At my end here, I very gratefully thank all those fellow Ugandans, the French, etc.. who have done a lot to condemn and to persistently demand for the release of all the youths still condemned to this suffering just for having committed no fault at all except clamouring for their constitutional rights. Action and prayer have been achieving so much. And I affirm our deeply committed struggle to see an end to all this shameful injustice. And there is also commitment
at all levels for Fred Lumbuye whose illegal abduction and illegal detention continue to provoke a worldwide outcry of anger and protest. And again, nobody will now continue to look passively at the very silly mass murders going on all over Masaka. This planned genocide of the innocent is indeed something that must call for a national rising to get it stuck in limbo. Ugandans and the world shall leave no stone unturned in the genuine effort to enforce law and order in our land. And it's the constitutional and rights obligation of the people to do so!
