MAJOR SETBACK FOR MABIRIZI AS DPP TAKES OVER BUGINGO-MAKULA CASE. As was widely expected, the DPP has finally weighed in and taken over the Aloysius Bugingo bigamy case from public interest litigation lawyer Hassan Male Mabirizi who filed it initially challenging the circumstances under which the controversial city pastor was last month hosted by the parents and family members of big-name Salt Media employee Suzan Makula at Bwerenga Village in Katabi Town Council.

This isn't the first time the DPP has taken over criminal proceedings originally commenced at the instigation of the same indefatigable Male Mabirizi. Similar intervention by the very important DPP office has happened before in favor of NUP Party President Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu against whom the controversial city lawyer has been filing frequent criminal cases aimed at inquiring into the authenticity of his personal documents. 

The latest such filing by Male Mabirizi related to the authenticity of the Principal's driving license or permit. It remains to be seen how Mabirizi, who accuses the already staff-constrained DPP of always acting in bad faith, is going to respond to this latest Bugingo-related setback. #MulengeraNews.
