{UAH} Hassan, OC Kawempe Police Station was not so lucky

By Amos Kasibante

After the fall of Idi Amin, One Hassan, OC Kawempe Police Station was not so lucky. The Wakombozi had blocked off the road to Bombo at Maganjo/Jinja Karooli and he could not make it to Bombo. He could not venture into Bwaise either and head for Jinja. He begged father to hide him. Father could not because our house was already full of people fleeing from the carnage. So, he got stuck at the police station where the Wakombozi met him. They beat him, frog- marched him in the direction of Mbogo village. He attempted to run away, but was felled by a hail of bullets. He, too, was buried around the primary school there - perhaps in an unmarked grave.
