{UAH} In only three months, the price of petrol in Uganda has increased by about 65%
By Peter Sabiiti
Today, driving to Entebbe and back to Kampala, I counted about six cars stuck on the road as a result of being out of fuel. This very one was in Entebbe town just adjacent to State House near Lake Victoria Hotel.
In only three months, the price of petrol in Uganda has increased by about 65% moving from Ugx 3500 a litre to Ugx 5800. If you were spending Ugx 30k on fuel everyday to and from work, you might need Ugx 50k now.
I think a business of mobile fuel supply would be viable today. U could just publicize a number which a stuck motorist would have to call and fuel is delivered to where he/she is.
You could sell it at a slighly higher price but on credit against a collateral (security) of the motorist's original driving permit.
