{UAH} WHO STANDS TO BENEFIT FROM THE ASSASSINATION OF SPEAKER AMONG

Written by CHANGE OF GUARDS | 15 September 2022

Museveni's current Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among was appointed to that position a few months ago following the death of Jacob Oulanya whose family claimed he had been poisoned.  Oulanya had Deputised the then Speaker Rebecca Kadaga whose tenure faced a lot of internal power struggles.  At one time, Museveni threatened that he could do away with Parliament.  His then Minister of Security, Gen. Tumwine intimated that she would soon be dying before a mysterious head of a slain baby was sent to her at Parliament.  Museveni had orchestrated a serious misunderstanding between Speaker Kadaga and her deputy, Jacob Oulanya.  Museveni was fearing that owing to her growing popularity, Kadaga would seek the Presidency of Uganda.  Consequently, Museveni fought tooth and nail to ensure that Kadaga loses that position.

During Jacob Oulanya's short-lived tenure as Speaker, Anita Among was the deputy Speaker.  Upon the death of the former, the latter sought to assume the position of Speaker.  However, Tomas Tayebwa too sought the same position.  Museveni had to talk to Tayebwa's father in order to convince Tayebwa to drop the idea.  In return, Museveni appointed Tayebwa Deputy Speaker.  During the sham selection process, Tayebwa garnered more support for the position of Deputy Speaker than what his boss, Speaker Among garnered. This development gives the former a belief that he is more popular amongst Parliamentarians than his boss.

A week before Speaker Among publicly declared that she was facing a serious assassination threat, her Deputy, Tomas Tayebwa had led a team of legislators to the USA for an annual convention.  It has been learned that about 11 ordinary Ugandans had been smuggled into the list of parliamentary delegates for acquisition of Visas from the USA embassy.  Among those smuggled is Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Aggrey Aruho who has fled to the USA.  Until he fled, he had been chief of Speaker Among's security team. Some officials from the Parliamentary service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are under investigations over the same security breach and diplomatic scandal.  As to whether Tayebwa facilitated the fleeing of his boss' chief of security, parliament's Director of Communication has dismissed the idea.

The super-rich Tomas Tayebwa who hails from Ankole region is very close to Gen. Muhoozi who is the heir to the Museveni presidency.  On the other hand, Anita Among who hails from Teso region has never made the position over the Muhoozi presidency known yet the same scheme dubbed Muhoozi project is the determining factor of every aspect of Uganda's political, social and economic life.  Its secret motto is:. "You are either for us or you are against us."

Therefore, it is a fact that in the event that has been the case with the late Jacob Oulanya, in the event that the current Speaker, Anita Among is assassinated (God forbid), Tomas Tayebwa stands almost a 100% chance of assuming the position of Speaker.  That way, the Muhoozi Project will have registered control of the legislature.
