Jill Stein And Cornel West Have A "Strategy" To Secure The Muslim Vote...

In a strategic move to garner the Muslim vote, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and independent candidate Cornel West attended the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ (CAIR) March on Washington for Gaza on Saturday.

This comes amidst the Biden administration's ongoing military operations against the Houthis in Yemen.

The political landscape on the left is currently fragmented due to differing responses to the terrorist attacks by Iran proxy Hamas on October 7, 2023. While some, including President Biden, have shown support for Israel, others have been advocating for a cease-fire. Stein and West are seemingly seizing this opportunity to gain political traction by participating in the pro-Gaza March in Washington, DC.

In a stark contrast to Biden's stance, Stein, during her speech, demanded a cease-fire and an immediate cessation of all aid to Israel. "We have a power to be instructing our elected officials what they need to do – that they need to stop the flow of weapons and money to apartheid Israel," Stein addressed the crowd. She further urged for the withdrawal of "our advisors, our troops, our warships, our ammunition, and our weapons from the scene of the crime.”

On the other hand, Biden, on the day of the attacks, reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for Israel's security. He has proposed a $23.5 billion package for humanitarian and military aid for Israel, which he intends to combine with $61.5 billion for Ukraine and $7.4 billion for Taiwan.

Stein also encouraged voters to sign a pledge to "stop genocide through our votes" by not supporting "any candidate who supports genocide." She added, "But we won’t stop there because they would love for us to be silent and just disappear. We are also saying we will support, we pledge to support candidates who are fighting to stop genocide for a ceasefire now and for an end to occupation and apartheid."

In late December, following Biden's approval of an emergency weapons sale to Israel, CAIR National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell accused the president of facilitating genocide. "Sadly, it now appears that President Biden is intent on ignoring the American people and enabling Benjamin Netanyahu’s campaign of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and mass starvation in Gaza," Mitchell stated.

West is expected to address the gathering later. The event coincides with escalating tensions between the Biden administration and the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen.

The United States and the United Kingdom have launched what is being referred to as a "massive retaliatory strike" against Houthi targets in Yemen in response to "continued attacks on global trade in the Red Sea," as reported by Breitbart News London Bureau Chief Oliver Lane. Both nations had previously warned of "consequences" before taking retaliatory action.
