[UAH] Investigate UTL to MTN end of Uganda

Parliament, Police and IGG should investigate UTL

why is it that where UTL has the infrastructure people do not have landlines and internet provisions? School, hospitals, police stations etc?

UTL has been forcing people to pay for what they call domain hosting this double payment - fellow citizen where does UTL host those domains. if let us say you have a domain name; bwanika.com or daniel.com you pay directy to domain  www.registry.co.ug/ or in that case you pay to UTL which later pays www.registry.co.ug/

There are two things here:

1. domain subscription so that you get a domain name
2. Hosting has a cost and comes when the domain name has a website   which you pay for
3. For you UTL you pay for 1 , 2 and then what they call domain hosting which in practice they do not host at all since domain names are registered under i3C on behalf of UgandaOnline! National Robbery

I can choose to have my domain in Uganda but my website hosted in Canada. So I pay for domain subscription not hosting which is in canada.

There are so many things going on with UTL from internet service provision which do not work, broken telephone line yet there is modern technology to deliver both voice and text efficiently using the present infrastructure.

There you go! Country for sale!

Meanwhile, there are reports that the 13 year old telecom operator is indebted to suppliers and banks to the tune of $70 million (about Shs182 billion), with some media reports suggesting UTL could be acquired by MTN.
