{UAH} Police Investigates Alleged Sejusa Phone Number
The Uganda Police have commenced investigations into writings at bus stops in which an unknown person placed a mobile phone number and urged the public to call renegade General David Sejusa.
The writings appear at bus stops on Kampala road, Jinja road and Wandegeya in Kampala.
The Police wants to establish whether the number is linked to General David Sejusa, the former coordinator ofintelligence services who fled the country to United Kingdom over two months ago.
The head of the political desk at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Fred Milondo confirmed that Police had taken interest in the number.
"One wonders why someone would put up a number and urge members of the public to call someone," Milondo questions.
Milondo said he had instructed Police at Wandegeya to open a General Inquiry File to establish the motive of the person who put out the number.
However, when the number 0782158711 is called, one is greeted with a woman's voice who denies any connections to Sejusa and insists it is a wrong number.
