{UAH} MBABAZI'S WIFE SHOULD BE THE ONE TO STAND AGAINST THE DICTATOR. SINCE THE HUBBY IS A COWARD

ueline Mbabazi refuses to Endorse Museveni

Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi's wife, Jacqueline Mbabazi has refused to endorse President Museveni for 2016 Presidency, raising fears of a deepening rift between the two powerful families.

It should be remembered that Mbabazi was among the last NRM leaders to append his signature on the party caucus' resolution backing Museveni as the organisation's sole candidate in the 2016 presidential race.

A series of meetings were later held between the Mbabazi family and Museveni to iron out their differences , with Museveni at one time asking Mbabazi why he was working from behind the scenes to "become President."

Mbabazi told Museveni at State House that he did not have any intentions to stand against the President in 2016 but that his wife Jacqueline had taken to the grassroots for mobilisation work.

On Friday, the NRM Women League, which Jacqueline heads, officially declared its support for Museveni ahead of the elections; saying they still needed his vision to enhance social economic transformation of women.

Addressing press at Parliament, the Women League members said Museveni deserved another term for empowering women especially through universal education.

Led by Eastern region Vice Chairperson, Phibby Otaala Aweere, the MPs said, "We will move with Museveni because he has promoted the health sector especially by addressing mortality rates and maternal deaths."

The Women League's treasurer, Christine Muhindo told journalists that they agreed to support Museveni during a meeting at Lake View Hotel on May 20.

Interestingly, Jacqueline Mbabazi's name was conspicuously missing on the resolution. Of 12 members, 11 signed the resolution.

Jacqueline also missed the conference.

Asked why the Premier's wife did not endorse the resolution, Otaala said "everyone is free to express what they think. We can't think for her."

Chimpreports understands that the Women League recently urged Jacqueline to sign the resolution in vain.

It is thought Jacqueline will address a press conference next week to give her side of the story.

Record

Jacqueline's position on the Kyankwanzi resolution seems to remain unchanged despite holding meetings with the President.

In a recent press statement, Jacqueline said: I must say that the NRM Kyankwanzi retreat and these last two NRM parliamentary caucus meetings have exposed fascist tendencies within the NRM party. What is obvious is that Hon Mbabazi is a target of orchestrated cliques and groups."

She added: "I find the entire spirit of that sitting of the NRM parliamentary caucus to have contravened the NRM constitution that requires us to farther the principles of transparency, accountability, integrity and consensus building."
