{UAH} PRIORITY ONE
Friends
There are a couple of bits and pieces we need to pass across in passing. An Air Algerie Flight AH507 out of Ouagadougou Burkina Faso to Algiers with 116 on board has dropped off the radar. The scrambled information is that it was supposed to fly over Mali. All this region it needs to be clarified that it is a fighting zone of Americans fighting terrorists in as far as Yemen and Mali. The airliner was chartered from a Spanish company.
There has been a massive explosion in Northern Nigeria by Kaduna and 82 confirmed dead so far, and this is actually coming in s I am typing.
Lastly on flying to Tel Aviv. By last evening FAA and Transport Canada had transferred the decision of flying to and out of Tel Aviv to the airlines, if you feel it is safe fly if you feel it is not safe do not fly. Air Canada has a daily flight into Tel Aviv departing Toronto 6.15 daily and all day yesterday it was scheduled to fly, but last afternoon it was cancelled as the one out of Tel Aviv. The flight today is scheduled to fly whether it will go or not we have no idea. But as that is still in their there has been some major developments in Israel this morning. Few hours ago Hamas sent 5 rockets into the surroundings of the airport. Tel Aviv was thrown into a red zone and every one instructed to go to the bunker. We do not know if they have landed or if the defense has got hold of them but the last reports we got was that Tel Aviv was targeted by 5 rockets in bound. How this will change the decision about flying into and out of Tel Aviv is not known. The Israel Government insists that not flying is to succumb to terrorists and El Al The Israeli flight is going in and out daily including yesterday.
Good morning from this side of the pond.
