Greetings in the name of the Incarnate Lord! Now that Advent is over, we've moved into the Christmas season.
I'd like to thank you for joining with me and over 200,000 other pilgrims as we journeyed through the Advent season. Now that we've finished, many of you have asked, what's next? How do I maintain the spiritual momentum throughout the Christmas season? I'd like to suggest a few practical tips:
First, be sure to visit our beautiful new website,
WordOnFire.org. Everyday you'll find new articles, videos, blog posts, and homilies to help strengthen your faith and evangelize the culture.
Second, I'll be traveling to England next month to continue filming our new series,
CATHOLICISM: The Pivotal Players. We'll be filming two episodes, one on John Henry Newman and another on G.K. Chesterton. During the trip I'll share exclusive, behind-the-scenes videos through
PivotalPlayers.com, so be sure to visit and sign up.
Finally, the best way to carry on your Advent progress is to commit to one spiritual practice during the Christmas season: read through the Gospel of John, one chapter per day; once a week, spend some time with the Blessed Sacrament; decide to attend one extra Mass each week; pray one rosary each day, maybe in your car. All of these are simple, proven ways to deepen your spiritual life.
Thank you again from all of us at Word on Fire. Please pray for me, and may God bless you!
Peace,
Fr. Robert Barron
