Kole- A baby has been killed in what is believed to be a relationship that turned sour in Kole District.

The one month-old-baby was allegedly killed by her step-mother at Bala Sub-county on December 16.

The suspect is believed to have been married to the deceased’s father but they separated due to her mental illness. It is reported that on learning that the husband was married to another woman (mother of the baby), the suspect decided to go to her co-wife’s home and cut the baby using an axe. The jilted woman had three children with the man.

In a related incident, a 23-year-old female teacher of Aboko Primary School in Aduku, Apac District was killed in cold blood by her lover in Aboko.
Susan Akello’s head was chopped off with a machete (panga) and died instantly last week.

Relatives and neighbours told Daily Monitor that the victim had for a long time complained about the abusive relationship.
