{UAH} Two 14-year-old boys among candidates for French A-Levels
The French A-Levels start today ( Wednesday 17/06/2015 ) with a total of
over 600,000 candidates. Normally the average age for the stiff exam is 18.
But this time there are two candidates aged 14 and trhey are the youngest
of the entire lot. They have managed to reach there so early due to their very
exceptional intellectual aptitudes which could always astonish parents, teachers
and fellow students who were four years older than them. One of the two is reported
to coach and prepare her 18-year old sister who will be sitting the same exams with him.
The boy who wants to become an engineer is extremely very strong in maths and physics.
The other boy has always been the best in class in languages, sciences and maths, and has
to his credit a number of awards.
Among the rest of the candidates will figure a brother and two sisters who are triplets and are
expected to do well. Their mum has done the coaching.
Four years ago the youngest French A-Levels candidate was a 13-year old from Mali who had
just arrived in France to join his parents. He was a real wonder phenomenon in maths and physics
and he's now almost completing his first degree in astronomy.
The candidates will as usual start with the obligatory paper in philosophy ( 3 hrs ) and then other
subjects will follow. Good luck boys and girls!
