Updates:
12:31pm: Ibrahim Ssemujju transferred from Nagalama Professionals Police Post to Kira road police in Kamwokya.
13:00pm: Ssemujju driven to Nakawa chief magistrates court, put in court cells slightly as state prepares charge sheet.
14:01pm: Semujju's Charge: Disobedience of Lawful orders. He allegedly disobeyed orders by Bakaleke against proceeding to an illegal rally. He is now before magistrate Flavia Nassuna, represented by Erias Lukwago.
15:05pm Lukwago starts giving defence submission on behalf of Ssemujju, says the FDC spokesperson needs medical treatment because of what he calls dehumanising treatment by police.
15:24pm: Ssemujju demonstrates to magistrate his torn coat
15:35pm: Lukwago requests for non cash bail for his client, argues that Ssemujju is a man of stature and cannot abscond. State attorney says investigations are still on going and the accused can interfere but Lukwago argues the state has not produced enough evidence to back the assumption.
15:38: Lukwago says that the magistrate has wide discretionary powers to deal with the accused in the event that he interferes with evidence.
15:40pm: Magistrate Flavia Nassuna grants Ssemujju bail. Sureties to pay UGX1Mn not cash; he will pay shs 500,000 not cash too. Case adjourned to 18th November.

Ssemujju Nganda arrested
Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda was this morning (Thursday) arrested and taken to Nagalama Police Station in Mukono District.
Police arrested Mr Ssemujju from his home in Kirinya- Kiwonko village, Byeyogerere in Wakiso District as he tried to leave for work.
Speaking during an interview with NBS TV earlier, Mr Ssemujju's wife, Ms Farida Ssemujju, said her husband was forcefully taken out of his car by the police as he left for work and taken to an unidentified place.
"They (police) came to our home last night and stayed until morning. When honorable (Mr Ssemujju) was leaving the house, they entered the car and grabbed him, everything happened too fast; I could not ask and I was around with only the maid," a teary Ms Ssemujju narrated.
Ms Ssemujju later went and camped at Nagalama Police Station and promised not to leave until she is allowed to see him.
"I have received reliable information from reliable sources that he is here; I will not leave until I see him, I am helpless," she said sobbing.
Meanwhile, United Nations Human Rights Commission officials also visited the police station this morning though they declined to give reasons for their visit.
