Annette,
I believe you have not understood the centrality in my  posting and it further appears to me that you totaly misinterpreted the meaning of " .......the one who praises you is the very who sucks you dry...".. Did you seriously stoop to reflect?  I hope yo did not perceive my humble arbitary expression from a sexual teasing point of view. It is common expression in this culture of mine.

Otherwise, I do not see anything cheap in it. In other words, I can gladly continue to leave with that cheapness.

As regards "....Glad to read your email this evening... allow me to suggest to u that lets get serious and focuss on the issues affecting ugandan society.......",I like that too. We phase well there.
That is what we all have been doing all the time and continue to do .  ONLY THAT THERE ARE DIFFERNT KIND AND TYPES OF APPROACHES AND DEFINITIONS. AND indeed, THAT IS THE CENTRALITY OF MY MEANING (( see, you failed to get my meaning?!)).

As for Okello, the President of Uganda is called Yoweri Museveni he has to deal with that and he has been dealing with that for the past 30years. Superlatives or derogations has not and shall not bring the developments ((even for the next five years. We are used)

In short, what I meant was that the opposition has taken too long hollering Museveni, Museveni without for that matter showing us their alternative other that rhetoricals.

I suppose if they spent more time structurin and anchoring their own policies, perhaps things would be different. THAT IS THE CENTRALITY.
So, yes, I would rather be cheapminded that holler utopia and building castles in the air.

Dear G Nockrach..
Glad to read your email this evening... allow me to suggest to u that lets get serious and focuss on the issues affecting ugandan society.
1. Why on earth would one not cherish the  President of their nation. All i want  is for the a working govenment to ensure that every igandan is comfertsble within their own country.
For example go to google and type in sleepy Ugandan MPs select image what do u see a president sleeping incliding his MPs... honestly... do u want him to do that again... i can see he was tired but again ubdont sleep in parliament where the world i watching. He has to set example in order for young generation draw example from.
2. That is whay when he presented his son poor Muhoozi he was not welcomed with two hands am sure if your following the news you can tell that his son is not highly welcomed by both the army and most of the people in our society. Not that the poor boy has hurt any of us directly that we can point a finger at him but because of his father  we feel its a no no no no option.
Now Museveni can be smart he has chosen to creat an army of his son within our UPDF
who will pay those soldiers... whom will the be a answerable or accountable too.. shall we have two army commonders within one country... or uganda is yet to be divided...   what status will the Muhozi army have compared to the other ordinary army... at what level will they operate at...who will be superior than than thw other... is this management of the country  plausible
Honestly i dont hate Museveni at all in any case Museveni would be happy to hear our concerns then adress them and move forward. but if u reason that i hate him for what ... i want him to work hard and sort the mess he has created or handover over power to Dr Kiiza Besigye to rule and move aganda forward.
Lets be seriuos when it comes to uganda as a nation but do not let emotions drive our thoughts..
I love my country and will do anything  within the lines of the law to support positivity for our country. Do u agree with me?am sure u do...

Ms Annette,
Why scapegrace President Museveni? Who pass the budgets (for both the government and Statehouse)?
Can you quote the list of those MPs who have declined their share?
Perhaps you can quote even some propositions and how they were battled in  the Parliament?
Hmm, we still choose our MPs from the dreadful Ugandan culture!

The very one praising you is the very one who mercilessly sucks you dry!!

I think the concept of drastically dealing with corruption is impossible son. In less than a month Museveni was in kololo adressing the world and.one of his promises was a.fight on corruption. Then what happened the following  week his seen dishing out 5m to NRM MPs as a gift... then to vote Olanya...then to help MPs solve problems in thwir society. .an act of corruption exercised now openely..by a head of state. Honeslty!!!!
How do u trust such an old man hobestly. he says this and does the opposite.
On the questio  of age limit i dought if it will be an issue because his already passed the age as provided for by the constitution. the man eyes.. and chicks can reveal his 80 years but still ruling. I notice these days even when his walking he uses alot of energy to prove that his still able... if u want have alook at his body language... u will see for yourself. The man is old... atleast he has  realised at last that his son can take over.
Poor Muhoozi... he has no choice but do as father says. I feel sorry for Muhoozi being a son of a dectator u cant choose otherwise ...
Also i feel sorry for Muhoozi because taking over a country that the father has put in the bin. Use of guns... chemicals to posion ugandans is not a solution to problems facing ugandans.
If i was Muhoozi i would do the best to disasociate from Mzeeiiii political games. He has hurt so many ugandans son dont fallow suit.

> Last Thursday, President Yoweri Museveni was sworn in to start his fifth elective term, and the most striking thing in his speech was the expression of his commitment to fight corruption.
>
> This public commitment was in Museveni's written speech, which he read out, but for emphasis, he repeated that particular item in Luganda, adding that the public is now going to see the guerrilla in him at work.
>
> In other words, while the institutions of accountability, audit and prosecution continue not doing their work, Museveni is going to somehow crush corruption in these five years.
>
> It worth noting that among the dignitaries present was Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli, the reigning anti-corruption king of Africa.
>
> In his not-very-many months as president, Magufuli has crushed every manifestation of corruption in sight until he even recently sacked the country's anti-corruption chief for not catching enough corrupt officials.
>
> But now Brother Yoweri, who once complained to Rwanda's President Paul Kagame that the Uganda government is made up of thieves, is set to grab the anti-corruption crown from Magufuli's head and make Ugandans once again walk with their heads held high.
>
> Some cynics may think it was just talk. But I think Museveni should be believed on this one for the simple reason that his own security after his impending retirement depends on it.
>
> Museveni is serving his last term – in 2021, his age will be rhyming with his name at 77. But one thing that stands between his ruling NRM party and victory in 2021 is its pathetic corruption record.
>
> The NRM can justifiably lay claim to everything positive that has happened in Uganda over the past three decades but simply has no convincing answer about its failure to fight corruption.
>
> If Museveni were able to run again, NRM could win. But without Museveni on the ballot paper, NRM could go the Kanu way in Kenya.
>
> In Kampala-speak, in 2021 even a jerrican could defeat an NRM presidential candidate other than Museveni unless they do something about corruption. And Museveni cannot retire in peace and comfort should a hostile candidate like perennial challenger Kizza Besigye win in 2021.
>
> Of course, the NRM has another, rather dangerous option to retain power in 2021; that is to remove the constitutional age limit so that Museveni stands again. For the NRM careerists, this could be a more attractive option than reducing corruption.
>
> But it could cause some inconvenience as it would provide a justification for external forces like those who did in Gaddafi (and are already spoiling for a fight with Kampala), to help their partners in Uganda mess things up using a ready army called Kifeesi – heartless urban thugs with nothing to lose except boredom. The Libyans who were incited into destroying their country were enjoying a hundred times more material comfort than Uganda's Kifeesi.
>
> So the logical way to make NRM electable is dramatically reducing corruption because in 2021, stories of wealth creation, roads and power dams will not get audience if corruption remains unchecked.
>
> Budgetary billions once stolen cannot build good roads or create enough employment. It is therefore self-interest for Museveni and NRM to drastically reduce corruption before 2021, instead of removing age limits.
