{UAH} What is Passover? How do you celebrate it?
What is Passover? How do you celebrate it?
All you need to do is drink some wine or grape juice, eat some unleavened bread and remember. Yeshua/Jesus said "Do this in remembrance of me." <-- He was talking about PASSOVER.
Then he died right after that meal (the last supper) as our perfect, passover lamb. There is now no more need for animal sacrifices, high priests, etc. He tore the veil to the Holy of Holies. We can enter in and approach the Father through the sacrifice of our MESSIAH now. Praise Yah!
Passover is a call to start the (real) new year by getting the sin out of our lives which is like leaven that affects the whole lump of dough (our entire body/being).
It also causes us to remember our ancestor's deliverance from slavery in Egypt - the first passover.
There is literally so much depth to this topic. It all points to Him and the rest and promises He provides for His children who obey/follow Him through the wilderness! I love it!
Most people have an actual feast with family and friends in covenant with YHWH that includes meat of choice (no pork/ham - sorry!), salad/bitter herbs (like romaine and parsley), maybe some garlic roasted potatoes, something sweet - it's all symbolic.
And then for the following week, don't eat risen bread or keep risen bread (or the leavening to make bread) in your home.
Eat unleavened bread as a reminder that the Israelites fled slavery in such a hurry that they didn't even have time for the bread to rise. That's how fast we all should be running from that which enslaves us.
And finally, just as you carefully looked through the kitchen cabinets to rid your home of that which "puffs up", we must do the same with the sin in our own lives year round.
Happy Passover!

Allaah gives the best to those who leave the choice to Him."And if Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He, and if He touches you with good, then He is Able to do all things." (6:17)
